Alumni Volunteers Needed For Scholarship Interviews
The Office of Undergraduate Admission is looking for alumni volunteers to serve as interviewers for our three upcoming scholarship weekends.
Presidential Scholarship Weekends:
- Saturday, February 23, 2013
- Saturday, March 2, 2013
Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Weekend:
The full-tuition Presidential Scholarship is awarded to a select number of Saint Louis University's most qualified freshman applicants. This year, the University will invite more than 500 students to interview for the Presidential Scholarship during the course of two weekends.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship is awarded to students who are committed to promoting diversity in society. Awardees must demonstrate leadership in multicultural, school or community activities that espouse King's ideals and present a vision to increase diversity on SLU's campus.
Each program also will feature a Friday evening reception that gives interviewers an informal opportunity to meet the candidates. Breakfast and lunch will be served at each event.
Because the magnitude of each scholarship weekend requires the involvement of so many individuals, alumni participation is essential to make each event a success. Volunteer as an interviewer and aid with the recruitment of the University’s fall 2013 freshman class!
