In 2017, the Wool Ballroom at Saint Louis University will again be transformed into a venue for food and music from throughout Latin America. Mark your calendars for May 6, 2017 for the celebration!

This unique event recreates a Latin town square, known as a zócalo, featuring a dozen artisans as well as live music and entertainment, all celebrating the richness and diversity of the many Hispanic and immigrant cultures that have become part of the fabric of our region.

After the zócalo festivities, we will have a sit-down dinner featuring Cuban cuisine in honor of the immediate past Dean of Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Dr. Philip Alderson, and the immediate past Dean of Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Larry Shapiro, in recognition of the lasting impact each has made on medical education in the Midwest and beyond.

The funds from the gala are used to operate our flagship services of primary clinical care and case management for patients who need specialty care. Since Casa opened in 2010, we have delivered over 60,000 services to immigrants and refugees representing 54 countries and residing in a 38 county area in Missouri and Illinois. This keeps our region healthy, our families stable, and supports the effort to build an inclusive and diverse St. Louis.

Tickets are $200 each, or $1,000 for a Patron Ticket that admits two and is accompanied by public recognition.
