George Paz
George Paz is chairman and CEO of Express Scripts. Prior to that, he was named president of the company in 2003. Mr. Paz originally joined Express Scripts in 1998 as senior vice president and chief financial officer. At Express Scripts, he has overseen several strategic acquisitions that have accelerated significant growth, and the company is now the nation’s leading pharmacy benefit manager. During his tenure, the company’s annual revenues have grown from $1.2 billion to over $100 billion in 2014. Before joining Express Scripts, he was a partner at Coopers and Lybrand from 1988 to 1993 and from 1996 to 1998. From 1993 to 1995, Mr. Paz served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Life Partners Group, where he was responsible for financial reporting, product design and implementation, actuarial valuations, shareholder relations, tax reporting and IRS audit resolution, and state insurance and agency relationships.

Mr. Paz holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting from the University of Missouri – St Louis. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the board of directors of Honeywell International, Inc., the St. Louis Federal Reserve, Washington University in St. Louis, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, and is chairman of Logos School board of directors.

 


Lawrence Biondi, S.J.
Now president emeritus of Saint Louis University, Lawrence Biondi, S.J., retired as president on Sept. 1, 2013, after 26 years. He is the longest serving president in the University's nearly 200-year history. Before coming to Saint Louis University, Biondi led a distinguished career in higher education as a professor, a department chairman and a dean. But he is best known for his remarkable tenure as president at SLU, which lasted from 1987 to 2013.

Fr. Biondi led an era of transformation and achievement at SLU. In addition to modernizing the campus and helping revitalize the surrounding Midtown neighborhood, Fr. Biondi committed vast University resources to academics, student scholarships and financial aid, faculty research and state-of-the-art technology. He focused on recruiting the finest faculty and students, increasing the University's academic standards and achievements, and developing the University as a major research center.
